Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Promotion commences on 6 November 2024 and closes 23.59pm AEDT on 9 March 2025. (“Promotional Period”)
3. The Promoter is the Blue Mountains Adventure Company (“Promoter”) located at 26 Parke Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia.
4. Entry is open to all individuals aged 18 years or over who subscribe to the Blue Mountains Adventure Company e-newsletter during the Promotional Period. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and agents associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
5. To enter:
a. Entrants must subscribe to the Blue Mountains Adventure Company e-newsletter at bmac.com.au.
b. Entrants must be subscribed until the end of the Promotional Period.
6. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
7. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
8. Only one (1) prize is permitted per person.
9. There will be three (3) prize draws (“Prize Draw”) for this promotion. Entries close for each draw on the dates and times specified below. Each Prize Draw will take place at the office of Blue Mountains Adventure Company, 26 Parke Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia on the dates specified in the table below. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. Prize winners will be notified by telephone or email within three (3) business days and will have their name published on the Promoter’s website https://bmac.com.au/win-a-canyoning-adventure on the dates specified below. Non-winning entries in each draw will be entered into any subsequent Prize Draw.

10. The first valid entry randomly drawn will win the prize, which is a spot on a full-day Empress Falls Canyon and Abseiling tour worth up to $325 AUD.
a. Inclusions are as per the trip details indicated on the webpage of the respective tour.
b. Total competition prize is valued at a maximum of $975 AUD with each trip valued at $325 AUD.
11. Winners must choose a departure between 1 January 2025 and 30 April 2025. Travel is subject to availability. The prize cannot be changed once the booking has been confirmed by the Promoter or its agents with the prize winner.
12. Redeeming your prize must be done directly with Blue Mountains Adventure Company and with participants providing basic personal information as part of the booking process and acknowledging the terms and conditions of participation.
13. Participant must be 18 years or over at the time of travelling.
14. The prize is redeemable for the day activity only, as outlined on the respective trip's webpage. The prize excludes any airfares, travel insurance, any pre / post night hotels, or transfers outside the scheduled itinerary, or other ancillary costs not mentioned on the trip page or within these terms and conditions.
15. The prize winner is responsible for all other items of personal nature, including spending money, insurance, transport to and from their start/departure point, drink, meals (except where stipulated), personal equipment and all other ancillary costs.
16. The prize winner will be asked to write a blog article for Blue Mountains Adventure Company and/or supply a minimum of 3 high-res images and/or videos copyright-free for use on the Blue Mountains Adventure Company social media accounts, newsletter and website.
17. The prize is not transferable, cannot be transferred to another person and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or offers. The prize cannot be exchanged for alternative products or services or redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
18. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
19. Unless otherwise provided, if the prize or a part of the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or the portion of the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable law. The Promoter has the right to change portions of the prize as determined.
20. In the event of the prize not being claimed within 3 business days of the draw date, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at the same place as the original draw 7 days later.
21. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any cost, expense, loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or inconsequential loss) or for any personal injury or damage to property which is suffered or sustained as a result of accepting the prize.
22. The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties; including, but not limited to, prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Unless otherwise advised, the Promoter may also use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including sending electronic messages. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
