Our GRAND CANYON EXPLORER is a fantastic beginners half-day canyon with NO ABSEILING. This adventure is an ideal introduction to the beauty and excitement of canyoning for first-timers and young adventurers. The adventure involves entering the slot canyon at its normal exit and heading upstream and then returning via the same route. Great for those who love the water but aren't a fan of heights. There is plenty of scrambling, wading and swimming. The adventure starts with a downhill walk to the exit point where we change into our wetsuits and begin the exciting obstacle course of scrambling over boulders and logs interspersed with swims and wading. The beauty and serenity of this canyon will surprise you, with ferny glades and towering rock walls providing a spectacular setting. The walk out takes about 45 minutes through temperate rainforest, finishing at Evans Lookout with a spectacular view of the Grose Valley.

We believe our canyoning adventures are heaps of fun, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible in the remote regions we explore. Our introductory canyoning adventures are for those with limited previous experience in the outdoors. It’s important to us that you are aware that depending on your level of fitness, they may be physically challenging and may push you out of your comfort zone – which is a good thing! You are required to have good mobility as we will be moving through uneven terrain in a remote environment. All participants are required to carry a backpack throughout the day that may weigh up to 10kg. Canyons may also involve swimming in cold water for prolonged periods of time. If you have any concerns about your suitability for this adventure, please contact our office.

We don’t cut corners on safety. Over and above our well-stocked and maintained first aid kits, we also carry extra safety gear such as bivvy bags and emergency sleeping bags; and our roping practices are designed to ensure the best outcome should a rescue or assist be required. You can be confident our guides are working hard to keep you safe.
Our adventures are all inclusive. All adventures include licenses, equipment, professional guides and everything else you need for an action packed adventure. All you have to bring is suitable clothing, comfortable enclosed footwear, a water bottle and a camera to capture the day. And if you don’t have any of the necessary clothing we’ll happily provide you with the basics at no additional cost.
We offer more adventure locations in the Blue Mountains than anyone else. The canyons and climbs of the Blue Mountains are many and varied. Ever heard of Du Faurs Creek?
