Ever considered challenging yourself with two classic Blue Mountains slot canyons in one long day? This canyon double-feature is an action-packed day for those with past abseiling and canyoning experience. Both canyons have their own unique flavour so if you can’t decide on which to do then do both!
We’ll start the day with a run through Grand Canyon. Access into the canyon is via a 20-metre overhanging abseil, followed by an obstacle course of scrambling over boulders and logs interspersed with swims and wading through this beautiful and serene canyon with its ferny glades and towering rock walls. The walk out takes about 45 minutes through temperate rainforest, finishing at Evans Lookout for lunch whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the Grose Valley… but wait there’s more!
A short drive brings us to the beginning of our second adventure of the day - Empress Falls Canyon. The days’ canyoning adventure now takes a different turn with the addition of water jumps and a thrilling climax - an amazing 30 metre abseil straight down a pounding waterfall.
The walk out is short and steep, usually 25 minutes up the stairs and you’re back at the carpark although on this occasion, after today’s double-fun, it may be a bit slower!

We believe our canyoning adventures are heaps of fun, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible in the remote regions we explore. Our moderate to challenging canyoning adventures are for those with previous canyoning, abseiling/climbing or hiking experience. Participants are required to have a high level of fitness and be experienced abseilers. You are also required to have good mobility as we will be moving through uneven terrain in a remote environment. There is extensive bushwalking during the day, including prolonged steep uphill sections. All participants are required to carry a backpack throughout the day that may be in excess of 10kg. Canyons may also involve swimming in cold water for prolonged periods of time. If you have any concerns about your suitability for this adventure, please contact our office.

We don’t cut corners on safety. Over and above our well-stocked and maintained first aid kits, we also carry extra safety gear such as bivvy bags and emergency sleeping bags; and our roping practices are designed to ensure the best outcome should a rescue or assist be required. You can be confident our guides are working hard to keep you safe.
Our adventures are all inclusive. All adventures include licenses, equipment, professional guides and everything else you need for an action packed adventure. All you have to bring is suitable clothing, comfortable enclosed footwear, a water bottle and a camera to capture the day. And if you don’t have any of the necessary clothing we’ll happily provide you with the basics at no additional cost.
We offer more adventure locations in the Blue Mountains than anyone else. The canyons and climbs of the Blue Mountains are many and varied. Ever heard of Du Faurs Creek?
