Our team of outdoor professionals are highly qualified, experienced, fun, friendly and most importantly, very safety conscious.

Our aim is to provide you with people who are passionate about the activities they guide as well as the wild, pristine places that they'll help you to explore in the Blue Mountains. When our team aren't guiding in the Blue Mountains they can be found hiking, canyoning and climbing both locally and worldwide. 

Whilst your personal safety is always uppermost, in our guides’ minds, they also take the time to ensure you have a memorable experience by sharing their knowledge of the natural environment and local history.

Dan

Dan Lewis

Dan is a seasoned adventure guide who has been a part of the BMAC team since 2014. Using the storytelling skills he acquired during his 20-year career as a journalist, Dan prides himself on helping visitors understand why the Blue Mountains was privileged with World Heritage status. He has a great respect for the six Aboriginal nations whose land forms the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area and prides himself on sharing what he can about their rich culture and history. His great passion is guiding canyons, and loves taking people rock climbing, abseiling, bushwalking and bike riding. You can even catch him in the Netflix documentary series 'Down to Earth' (S2 EP1) canyoning with the host, Hollywood actor Zac Efron.

Karleigh

Karleigh Honeybrook

Karleigh’s a warm and endearing weirdo who loves shifting your perspective, out of your daily limits and the way you walk through the world. With her background as an aerialist and movement and strength coach, she weaves in a playful and embodied approach to her guiding, devoted to supporting you to feel comfortable in your skin in situations that were previously terrifying. She’s also our Operations Coordinator and loves supporting our guide crew to be the incredible bunch they are and getting you into your next adventure and onto Country.

Soren

Soren Kruse-Ledet

Soren is a world-class high-altitude mountain guide who has led and participated in more than 60 mountaineering expeditions and challenging treks in Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and Tibet. In 2011, Soren reached 27,500 ft during an unassisted ascent of Everest and has successfully summitted Ama Dablam four times. He has led expeditions to Cholatse, Baruntse, Teng Kangpoche, Muztagh Ata, Pachermo and Peak Lenin among many others. Based in the Blue Mountains, Soren's expertise shines when it comes to teaching the right techniques to help you feel confident in the outdoors. His easygoing nature and professionalism make him a highly sought after guide.

Rachael

Rachael Corlett

Rachael’s enthusiasm for her Blue Mountains home is infectious. She has lived and explored the many trails in her backyard for the last 20 years, but summiting Mt Cloudmaker on a multi-day hike with friends sealed her passion to make guiding her dream job. With a bubbly smile, she'll share her local gems as you walk along the trails. Rachel also loves cooking so you can expect delicious gourmet meals, like her famous Thai Basil Stir-Fry on her multi-day trips. She guides regularly in the Warrumbungle Ranges, her new “Home away from Home”, where she's grown a greater affinity to the area, inspired by Rachel Kennedy – the first white bush-medicine, brumby-hunter female pioneer of the region. Our modern-day Rachael will delight you with tales of Kennedy's adventures as you take in the stunning volcanic vistas.
