"Warami mittigar" - Hello friend. We welcome you to Dharug Country
"Biimbiigang" - Greetings. We invite you to Gundungurra Country
This is a classic Blue Mountains walk. We will enjoy a beautiful descent into the Jamison Valley via Fern Bower to Leura Forest. From here we will connect with Dardanelles Pass then on to Federal Pass beneath the iconic Three Sisters. Once on Federal Pass we will make our way to the aptly named ‘Ruined Castle’ - one of the best vantage points in the Jamison Valley providing 360-degree views. The walk is 18km if we return to our starting point; or we can shorten the walk to approximately 14km by concluding at the top of Furber Steps. The climb up to the top of the Ruined Castle is optional as is the fast track out of the valley via the Scenic Railway should you wish to shorten your walk at the end (NOTE: use of the Railway is at your own cost on the day).

We believe our bushwalking adventures are heaps of fun, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. It’s important to us that you have the fitness and skills to enjoy your time with us so please read on. For our full day bushwalking experiences, participants require a good level of fitness. If you have concerns about your fitness, please call our office. Bushwalking participants will get the most out of their bushwalk with BMAC if they feel comfortable walking up and down stairs and on uneven ground.

Passionate, highly qualified and experienced guides; gourmet lunches prepared by Altitude Deli in Blackheath; quality equipment in good condition that are regularly inspected and exceed industry standards – with us you can expect a high quality Blue Mountains adventure.
We don’t cut corners on safety. Over and above our well-stocked and maintained first aid kits, we also carry extra safety gear such as bivvy bags and emergency sleeping bags; and our roping practices are designed to ensure the best outcome should a rescue or assist be required. You can be confident our guides are working hard to keep you safe.
Our adventures are all inclusive. All adventures include licenses, equipment, professional guides and everything else you need for an action packed adventure. All you have to bring is suitable clothing, comfortable enclosed footwear, a water bottle and a camera to capture the day. And if you don’t have any of the necessary clothing we’ll happily provide you with the basics at no additional cost.
We offer more adventure locations in the Blue Mountains than anyone else. The canyons and climbs of the Blue Mountains are many and varied. Ever heard of Du Faurs Creek? Want to know what’s involved in Dalpura? Do the names ‘Bunny Buckets’ or ‘Dirty Rotten Pig’ sound weird, but you’re still intrigued? Keen to explore Dargan’s, Birrabang, or Breakfast Creek? If you are looking for something specific - just ask!
