Illness and DisabilityCustom adventures
We believe that everybody should have access to adventure.
This is why we do everything we can to create amazing adventure experiences for participants who experience illness, disabilities or other perceived limitations in their lives.
Over the years we have guided people with missing limbs, broken backs, neoprene allergies (no wetsuit!) and non-swimmers. We have also worked with people who are blind, mute and deaf.
Custom BMAC Programs
Everyone has their own unique needs. Often we are able to welcome people with disabilities onto our public adventures. If the nature of your disability means that this isn’t possible, we are more than happy to create a custom trip, modifying the program to suit your needs.
This might mean packing specialist medical equipment like insulin pumps in special housings or simply providing extra equipment and supervision, varied itineraries or more planned rest breaks. Whatever it is, we will do our best to assist.
When we design your custom program we will endeavour to pair you up with specialist staff members who have experience working with your specific needs. We will also recommend the best adventure for you and if we are unable to help we will recommend an alternative.
Either way, we would love to be a part of your adventure. Contact us.
