While I was well-prepared for the adventure, my lack of confidence in swimming initially made me hesitant. However, the guides, Greg and Lauren, were incredibly supportive and encouraging, making me feel comfortable throughout the experience. 

I joined BMAC's Empress Falls Canyon and Abseiling tour in January, and the adventure, as my group describes it, "will blow you away." Take a look at the video below for a recap of the day:

The overall experience was exhilarating, with the most exciting and memorable part being abseiling down Empress Falls and the water jumps. Surprisingly, I found the water jumps more intimidating than the canyons I had previously done, even though they also involved similar jumps. 

For anyone nervous about the abseiling section, my best advice is to relax, trust the experienced guides, and enjoy the moment. Greg and Lauren were absolute legends, ensuring that everyone felt safe while making the adventure fun and unforgettable. 

The group dynamic was fantastic, with everyone continuously expressing how amazing the canyoning experience was. 

My key takeaway is simple – just have fun! 

Even if something feels challenging, trust in your guides. They are there to ensure your safety and help you conquer any doubts. 

I would absolutely like to try another canyon adventure – hopefully soon.
