Already climb? Want to get the most out of your day in the Blue Mountains? Give us a call and discuss your particular experience and we will ensure that we pair you up with a guide who can provide you with the day out that you want. From introductory to extreme, the Blue Mountains has it all and we have staff who would love to take you there! And of course, it is just you and the guide for the day.
All BMAC full day participants receive a generous picnic lunch, provided by our local deli. Select one of their delicious, gourmet sandwich options when you book your trip. Altitude Deli can cater to most dietary requirements with notice, so please let us know of your needs as soon as possible.
Want to see what’s on the menu? Check out our seasonal selection here.
We will provide you with a backpack, helmet, harness, carabiners, belay device, climbing shoes and all other necessary climbing equipment. While we encourage all participants to bring their own weather-appropriate clothing (see below), we have spare warm clothing and rain jackets if needed.
Things to bring
As a general rule we recommend:
- Comfortable clothes suited to the weather
- Enclosed shoes
- Water bottle – at least 1.5 litres.
- Personal medication (Ventolin/EpiPen etc.)
We believe our rock climbing days are heaps of fun, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. It’s important to us that you have the fitness and skills to enjoy your time with us so please read on:
Fitness: Rock climbing involves strength, balance, flexibility and stamina – but you don’t have to be an elite athlete to be a successful climber. We do recommend that participants have a moderate level of fitness.
Climbing: Previous lead climbing and belaying experience indoor or outdoor are required. Please contact our office to discuss your personal goals.
If you have any questions or concerns, we’d be delighted to talk with you.
